We want anyone to be able to access our service so we subsidise membership, class fees and ticket prices to ensure that Centrestage is open to as many members of the community as possible.
We have never received core funding to cover our running costs. We rely on the loyalty of members and audiences for our income – the vast majority of our income comes from these sources. As we grow and develop we hope that additional project funding from trusts, foundations and individuals will help us to expand our provision over time.
Bursaries
Centrestage Music Theatre CIC is a social enterprise company registered in Scotland (SC286468) incorporating Centrestage Communities Ltd, a Scottish charitable company (SC039611/SC382945).
Centrestage Communities Ltd (formerly CS Performers Ltd) is run independently of Centrestage, has a separate Board of Management and constitution and is responsible for serving the interests of our members who attend or participate in activities every week.
All our service users are automatically members of Centrestage
Communities and further information on all elements of the charity follow.
CS Bursary Fund
Our Bursary Fund enables individuals to access Centrestage projects and classes who may otherwise be unable to benefit from our services. Further information can be found from page 90.
CS Perform
This encompasses delivery of core classes and related productions. Core costs associated with these productions, including licence fees, royalties, costume hire, set build and hire are also covered within this division.
CS Projects
CS Projects includes every aspect of our outreach work and currently incorporates Musical Generations, Connect, Reconnect, Unite, Fuse, Ignite and Reach Out. We are continually developing relationships and partnerships with new and existing corporate, philanthropic and public sector funders in order to further deliver and expand our work within the wider community.
If you think we’ve got it right and if you think you can help, please help us build on it.
