Centrestage does....The Kiltwalk!

The CS Team are getting very excited about the forthcoming Kiltwalk event on Sunday 30th April.   This year, staff and CS students and patrons are getting involved in the annual charity event.   There are three different options from a 23 mile walk (!) to the Wee Wander...at a more respectable length of 6 miles.

We want as many of you to get involved as possible....and raise money and awareness for Centrestage Communities.    To find our more about the event, check out the Kiltwalk website.   To register your interest, simply complete our CS Kiltwalk form by clicking HERE and one of our team will be in touch!

An interview with Ewan Carmichael and Emma Savory of Hairspray JR.

Ewan Carmichael and Emma Savory, two of the cast members from this upcoming weekend's Hairspray Jr production share their excitement about all things Hairspray Jr!

I’ve been with Centrestage for about 2 years now and I just love it. I saw performances in Onthank and really wanted to be involved with Centrestage. It’s the best place in the world and I just love being part of the 8-11 MT class!

Being involved with Centrestage gives me a lot of confidence, it’s a great place to be and it’s the best fun! I play Corny Collins in the production and I’m going to love every moment!

Hairspray JR is big, bold and it’s all about division. More importantly it shows that we are all the same, we’re all human.
— Ewan Carmichael
I’m really looking forward to taking part in Hairspray JR, my character is Tracy Turnblad and it’s going to be great fun to play Tracy!

I’m a wee bit nervous but even more excited and would recommend the 8-11 Musical Theatre company to anyone, it’s the best fun!
— Emma Savory

Austin Powers The Dance Musical Saturday 26th February

We were treated to an amazing night by our young performers Mayhem at Austin Powers The Dance Musical here at Centrestage on Saturday night.

Every cast member excelled themselves and we were truly immersed in the story which saw Austin take on his arch nemesis the dastardly Dr Evil in his attempt to take over the world!

Thankfully with a little help from his friends Austin succeeded in saving the world from Dr Evil and his henchmen!

All of the cast were fantastic and we really were treated to a special evening. Well done to all the cast who were terrific and to Marlisa Ross for Directing and choreographing the production. The stage and sets were brilliant and really did immerse us in the world of Austin Powers!

The performers, aged 4 - 13 years excelled themselves and gave a performance which will be remembered for a very long time!

Austin Powers was played by Robbie Slavin who first came to Centrestage in 2006 when he came to our very first pre-school class. The youngest performer in the case was Emily Mathieson who played Mini Me brilliantly. Emily is a current member of our 4-7yrs Music Theatre classes.

We have had great fun working on this production and I am very proud of this
talented and creative group of young people. They never cease to amaze me
with their idea and their humour, and I love the time I spend with them.
— Marlisa
