The Kilmarnock Fair Festival is now less than a month away. Tickets for the Festival - which runs from Wednesday, July 4 until the afternoon of Sunday, July 8 and is hosted by Kilmarnock’s Centrestage Music Theatre - are still available, including for headline acts Irish singer-songwriter Brian Kennedy and Scottish pop duo Hue and Cry.
Brian Kennedy, whose gig is sponsored by the Burns Mall Shopping Centre, will perform on Saturday, July 7 supported by local man Robbie Dale and former The Silencers vocalist JJ Gilmour. Hue and Cry perform on Thursday, July 5. Their gig, “Hot Wire Stripped”, is sponsored by the Kilmarnock Townscape Heritage Initiative and Scottish singer-songwriter Kim Edgar provides support.
Other shows include jazz band The Rhythm Kings; “And Finally... Phil Collins” - a faithful recreation of a Phil Collins concert by former “Stars In Their Eyes” finalist Pete Bultitude; and “American Independence Night”, presented in association with Darvel Music Company and featuring the Texas style blues and rock of Jim Suhler and Monkey Beat
The Kilmarnock Fair Festival runs at Centrestage Music Theatre, Kilmarnock, from Wednesday, July 4 to Sunday, July 8 2012. Food and a licensed bar will be available throughout the week. A Full Festival Ticket - which allows entry to all four evening performances - is available for only £50, a saving of £20 on buying show tickets individually.
