Moulin Rouge

Synopsis
Moulin Rouge makes the jump from the Silver Screen to the Kilmarnock stage in this ground-breaking theatre adaptation of the much-loved film. Set in the famous Montmartre Quarter of Paris, France, it tells the story of a young, British writer, Christian, who falls in love with the terminally-ill star of the Moulin Rouge, cabaret actress and courtesan Satine. The Baz Luhrmann film starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman was a huge hit with audiences and critics alike, being nominated for eight Oscars. This innovative production will see the film transported to the world of theatre for the very first time.
